You usually say “skal” when you talk about the future. “Jeg vil” means “I want to”, and “jeg må”, means “I have to”

Uttale, grammatikk – explanations

e-lydThe way the vowel e usually sounds in Norwegian
æ-lydThe sound of the letter æ. Before an r, e very often sounds like æ
ModalverbModal verbs (skal, vil, kan, må)
InfinitivInfinitive (å gå, å snakke etc)
PresensPresent tense
Modalverb + infinitivAfter a modal verb, there is no “å” before the infinitive
Infinitiv med å:After other verbs and expressions, you need to put “å” before the infinitive

Cunjugating Norwegian verbs is easy. There is no difference between first, second and third person, nor is there any difference between singular and plural. You only need to add an r to the infinitive.

Infinitive: å snakke

Present tense: jeg snakker, han snakker, vi snakker.
